About the Secretariat…
During the First Conference of the Contracting Parties, the
Secretariat was established by means of Resolution
COP1CIT-001, acting as an organism of the Convention pursuant
to Article IV. Included in the functions assigned, the
Secretariat has to:

Support,
organize and participate in the meetings of the Conference of
the Parties and of the Subsidiary Organs,
-
Coordinate and
facilitate communication among the Parties and between the
Parties and the Observers;
-
Make available
to the Parties in the working languages the reports,
recommendations and decisions adopted and any other necessary
documents;
-
Administrate
the Special Fund of the Inter-American Convention (SFIC).
